Maine Raft Guide Training Program

Maine Whitewater Raft Guide Training with Northeast Whitewater Rafting makes it possible to get an awesome summer job where vacationers getaway to Maine for some of the best whitewater rafting in the country. Our Registered Maine Whitewater Rafting Guide Training is the best in the state, structured around the instruction of technical strokes, maneuvers, river knowledge, river safety and group leadership achieved through on-the-water whitewater skills, which prepares you better than any other guide training program to pass the State of Maine written exam. Our Whitewater Guide Training program is an 8-day, on the water, in-depth practical training to learn what it takes to safely guide Maine vacationers on rapidly flowing whitewater rivers in the State of Maine. Our Registered Maine Guide Trainer's will help you gain the confidence you need to earn the title of Registered Maine Whitewater Rafting Guide. Ask us about combining one of our Registered Maine Guide Training Programs with Swiftwater Rescue, Wilderness First Aid training or Whitewater Instruction in Canoeing and Kayaking for optimum whitewater skills and development in the outdoor education field. After completion of the Whitewater Guide Training program, you will take the written test administered by the State of Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. After successful completion of the written test, you will receive your Registered Maine Whitewater Guide license, and be eligible to work for Northeast Whitewater Rafting. The State of Maine charges $100.00 to take the written test, the State of Maine also charges $89 for your guide license, which the Maine Whitewater Guide license is good for 3 years and can be renewed upon expiration. Total cost for whitewater guide training, state testing and the three year State of Maine license in whitewater raft guiding is $489 ($300+$100+$89).
